- AGM Will be held Lakeside on
Sunday the 13th of September.
31 May, 2009.
- 2009 Club Champs and
pPesentation will be held on the 6th and 7th of June. The Yacht
Club has Kindly vacated the Lake for us to use this Sunday. It is
intended to run 2 rounds per day, weather permitting , starting at
10 am on the Saturday the 6th.
22nd March, 2009
- Added photos of new
Launch Dock being constructed by ourselves and Dandenong Valley
Yacht club. Decking is done, now the four stairs have to go in,
some tidying up and its finished. Sits out about 70cm further over
the water than the old dock. Look in photo section under Launch
dock construction.
1st January, 2009
- First of all a Happy New
Year to all club members. Club Calendar has been updated for
2009 but at time of writing there are few events dates to be
confirmed as yet by the AMPBA. will update as they come to
hand. I am still under the impression that the launch area is to be
replaced this month but as of last wednesday nothing had been
done.
- So heres to a year of
good racing and club days, weather permitting, please
check all 2008 baggage at the gates 2009 is here and its time
to focus on building and running model boats and enjoying
your hobby.
13th December,
2008
- For those that didn't get
the group email, the BBQ and presentation is cancelled till further
notice. Weather forecast is for rain/showers for Sunday with
45 kph winds and a top of 17. If any of you hardcore guy's head out
to the lake..good luck.
12th December,
2008
- Looks like the weather
isn't going to be on our side for the Club Day BBQ. Keep checking
back here and will post if BBQ is going ahead by Saturday night.
Forecast is for 45kph winds and heavy showers on Sunday. Also I
will send out a group e-mail, if you haven't registered on the web
site please do so or you will not receive the e-mail. Please
use your name when you register so I know that you are a club
member and not a spammer.
- During January the
Dandenong Valley Yacht club will be removing the old dock and
installing a new upgraded one, all members please stay clear
of the construction site whilst work is being done.
25th November,
2008.
- Due
to the weather again blowing out our club Champs day, the Club
Champs will be decided on the 3 rounds that have already been run.
There is NO racing this Sunday as it is a scheduled yacht club day.
Our next day at the Lake is the 14th of December which is our break
up day. The BBQ will be on and we will have the Club Champs trophy
presentation after.
- If the weather is fine on
the breakup day then the Adrian/Stephen diving for lost
props/parts/flexshafts show will take place.

- Attention all club
members our AGM will be held on the 24th of August at Caribbean
Gardens at 10am.
- All members fees
08/09 should now have been paid to the club Treasurer, anyone
who has still not paid there club fee will NOTbe permitted to run a boat OR pit for
someone.
6th July, 2008
- Good
turn out today to see the finished drivers stand, and even a few
more entries for next weeks races. We will be having
practise/setup all day Thursday and it is not catered for so bring
your own food and drink, I will have the BBQ there if you wish to
use it. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be catered for and we
would like a few more helpers on the food stand please. Just email
Greg or myself and let us know if you can help. Thanks, and all
pray the weather gods smile on us.

- Club
Membership is now due, as of this moment I have received only 10
renewels. As per our agreement with the owners/management of
Caribbean Gardens only financial club members are allowed to use
the lake due to insurance reasons. Please get those
memberships in as we have to know numbers so we can send the AMPBA
there fee.
26th May, 2008
- Well
the Drivers Stand is well on its way and we had a good turn out of
members to help. A big thank you has to go out to the following for
there unselfish hard work on Sunday. Mark Dewar, Rod Burridge and
Ken Cunningham for there welding, grinding and organising
generators and general running around. The Bro Racing Boys for
there post hole digger and there hard yakka in drilling the eight x
2meter deep holes, we nearly lost one of them down one too.
Everyone else that helped on the day and to Greg for his special
hole digging shovel too. To anyone else I have forgotton
THANKS GUYS. Pics can be seen of your work under Driver Stand
in pics section.
17th May, 2008
- The weather has beaten us
today, Drivers stand has been delivered but we have had to cancel
the welder and post hole digger. Hopefully next Sunday the weather
gods may smile on us so we can get the stand construction
started.
15th May, 2008
- Update on our drivers
stand is that it is being delivered on Saturday the 17th May at
8:00am. We will need a few strong bodies to help it off the truck
and ready it for assembly, keep checking here if any updates or
changes.
28th April, 2008
- The 2nd round of
the RMBC club champs has been moved to the 11th of May to be held
at Caribbean Gardens. There will be no event at Churchill on the
4th. Please keep in mind that this Sunday is still a designated
Yacht club day at Caribbean Gardens.
16th April
2008
- Club day at Churchill
this weekend (20th) . All RMBC members are invited to come and run
a boat check out the facilities. Remember the next round of club
champs are being held there. Lake Hyland is located on Mackeys
Road, Churchill. Which is off Tramway road.
- I would also like to apologise for my
absence on some club days, this is due to personnel and family
reasons not due to a lack of interest in the club or
hobby.
- Good luck to all those
heading for the Nats at Yarrawonga.

- Dont forget 23rd of March
is the first round of our Club Champs for 2008, will be the same
format as last year and hopefully there will be a few more nitro
boats running so we can separate there classes. As usual you can
enter on the day. Open water till 10am then the first round
commences.

calendar, will add more events as they come to

- Have uploaded the drawing
of our drivers stand in the photos section. Construction to start
when we get engineer, council and Caribbean Gardens approval.
Plans will be available to view at our club days.
31st December 2007
- Have updated the club
calendar for 2008. Please note it has only been done to July at
this stage as events are still being sanctioned by the AMPBA. Will
be updated as I get the information.

- Well guys this is it, the
last round of the Club Champs for 2007 on 25th November. Race
program will be as we have been running all year. Then dont forget
on the 9th of December will be our breakup and last club day for
the year. We will be having a BBQ (firebans permitting) and this is
when the club Champion and Encouragement trophies will be
presented. Hope to see you there and sample some of Greg's BBQ
skills.
6th October 2007
- The Club Champs are
coming up again( 14th October) As per usual the program will be
Open water from 9-10am. Then we will run a round, have open
water for an hour then run another round. Entries are carried over
from last round but you can still enter on the day.

- The yacht club will
require the use of the Lake all day on Sunday the 16th due to a
sailing regatta. No RMBC members are permitted to use the lake
on this day. Thanks

- Looks like our S.A.W
meeting is off guy's. Unfortunately as you may have noticed a "golf
green" has appeared right in the middle of our S.A.W course and we
can't get it moved even for the Saturday. So the Saturday is
cancelled and we will have a normal club day on the Sunday.

- The Club Champs are on
again this Sunday (26th). Program will be run as per last time.
Open water will be from 9-10 am. Entries from last round have been
carried over and you can enter on the day if you have not raced

- Notice to all
members that 07/08 fees are now overdue, if you have not paid your
membership you will not be able to run your boat due to AMPBA
insurance reasons. So get your membership in if you wish to
run.
- Carribean Gardens
is holding a Jetski event on the 19th of August so we are not
permitted to use the lake on this day.

- No R.M.B.C members will
be permitted to run there boats at Carribean Gardens the
weekend of the 28th/29th of July as the Yacht club will be
requiring the whole day due to a Club Event. Thank

members, our S.A.W day is coming up this weekend on Saturday and
Sunday. All members attending will be required to help run
the event. Thank you.
- The RMBC will be holding
there A.G.M on Sunday 24th of June at Carribean Gardens Lake
at Midday.

- Please No members are
permitted to run there boats at Carribean Gardens this
weekend due to a two day sailing regatta for the yacht
club.

- The RMBC club will be
have the Club Christmas party on the 10 of December, come down and
have some fun and recap the year gone. Greg said he is cooking, so
come and have a few sausage sandwiches with
Greg.

2006 the Dandenong Valley Yacht Club will be holding there Xmas
breakup day and will be requiring the whole day, Please
no RMBC members are to use the lake on this day. Thank you for

- On May the 20th and 21st
2006 the R.M.B.C of Vic has been invited and will be holding a club
day at the West Gippsland Model and Hobby Expo at Cardinia
Cultural Center in Lakeside Blvd ,Pakenham. Any club members that wish
to come and run your boat as part of this exhibition then please
contact Greg or Stephen so we know you are coming and can give
you details of where to access our setup and the lake. We will be
running from 9am to 5pm Sat and Sun. Be great to see you.

- With Nationals under way
as of today for the first day of practice, I would like to wish
everyone the best of luck. And I will see you on Friday night at
the RSL for the AGM.

- The website is getting
large numbers of hits, around 80 a day, i have added the site to
just about all the search engines and links to the site in a lot of
forums.

- The club secretary of the
R.M.B.C will be away for 2 weeks from 3rd March 2006, he will
